Dr. Mike Meaux

Dr. Michael Meaux, a native of Grand Chenier, graduated from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. Dr. Meaux began his career here at Southwest Louisiana Veterinary Clinic immediately after graduation. He is at the DeQuincy location twice a week. The remainder of the week he is at the Sulphur location or traveling on farm calls. He practices both small and large animal medicine and is licensed in Louisiana and Texas. Dr. Meaux's special interest in veterinary medicine is cattle.
Dr. Meaux enjoys speaking at seminars and meetings to help educate local cattlemen on vaccine protocol and the nutritional needs of cattle in Southwest Louisiana and Southeast Texas. He is always willing to share his knowledge and to educate clientele. In his spare time, he raises registered Brahman cattle and common cattle for show purposes as well as for production.
Dr. Meaux's family includes his wife, Kim, and their two daughters, Kerrigan and Brenlyee. Kim is the inventory manager at our clinic’s Sulphur location. Their oldest daughter, Kerrigan, graduated from Louisiana State University in the field of Archeology in 2019. Their younger daughter, Brenlyee, is a 2023 graduate of Centenary College of Louisiana. The Meaux’s also have a pet family that includes 5 dogs.
